The chapel sits in a perfect position on the west coast of Anglesey on beautiful Holy Island often known as Mam Cymru (the mother of Wales). It is surrounded by some of the most beautiful countryside and scenic views of sea and mountains in North Wales. Anglesey is the place for extreme sports or gentle exploration of unspoilt coasts. If you venture off the island you are within easy reach of many more places of interest such as Snowdonia, Betws-Y-Coed, Abersoch, Caernarvon, Port Maddoch, Port Meirion (famous for it's pottery and Italian style village), Llandudno, Conway, Colwyn Bay and many more. There are four leisure centres on the island offering a variety of sports activities. If golf is your sport, apart from Trearddur Bay Golf Course there are a further 7 courses on Anglesey. There is a nine hole pitch and put behind the Beach Hotel complex in Trearddur Bay. Why not try your hand at skiing as there is a dry ski slope half an hours drive away near Llandudno.

Anglesey has been dubbed "The New Cornwall". With its close proximity to the North West and Cheshire area, you can be in Anglesey within the hour. With its beautiful beaches, many Blue Flag, it's no wonder the water sports enthusiasts of all ages are flocking to Anglesey all year round. families are coming back time and time again.

Shopaholics are well catered for especially in Bangor where there is a new fantastic Debenhams and many many more shops.

The chapel is within walking distance of Porth Dafach blue flag beach. We are extremely lucky here because a mile further down the road is Treaddur Bay, another blue flag beach, which means we can offer the highest standards of bathing quality and beach management that you can get.

The area is a mecca for water sports enthusiasts, with a fabulous range of conditions- sheltered sandy bays, remote coves, calm or wild waters and smaller offshore islands. Perfect for sailing, surfing and canoeing. Superb for a spot of sea fishing from shore or boat. Treaddur Bay is popular for its sailing and hosts an annual regatta in August. Diving opportunities are brilliant, including more than 100 wrecks to explore in clean,clear water. There is an excellent dive shop in Treaddur Bay.

Turn right out of the chapel and at the end of South Stack Road is South Stack Cliffs and Lighthouse. This breathtaking cliff top site on Holy Island boasts walks, a visitor centre and closed circuit tv to view nesting birds. In summer over 4,000 pairs of sea birds nest at South Stack Cliffs. From Ellins Tower Visitor Centre you can watch Puffins, Guillemots and Razorbills and using binoculars and telescopes see live pictures of the birds on the cliff. Stretch your legs on a choice of more than 650 miles ( 1056 km ) of footpaths, spanning everything from rugged coastal cliffs to ancient woodlands or tread the 400 steps down to South Stack Lighthouse.
Hire a bike and pedal miles of quiet lanes and track. .
Book a pony trek just down the road.

Rhosneigr, just down the coast, has some very large beaches which hold some of the windsurfing and kite surfing championships. There is a surf school which quickly becomes booked in the summer months.

There is a fantastic Go Cart track ten minutes away near Gaerwin. It is professionally run and you can have a wonderful time there.

There are plenty of opportunities for shopping. Whether its food shopping to stock up on your provisions whilst at the chapel or clothes etc. Just five minutes away from the chapel there is a brand new Morrisons, a Tesco, Argos, Home Store, Brantome, New Look, Wilkinsons, Homebase and Netto.

In Llangefni there is an Asda and a super store Tesco in Bangor.

Book a track day at Ty Croes, one of Britains friendliest and exciting circuits.
Book a boat trip from Beaumarris to the spectacular Skerries Lighthouse, Puffin Island or beyond. Or book a day trip over to Ireland from Holyhead.

If the weather is unpleasant why not indulge yourself with a pamper day at the luxuriousTre-Ysgawen spa. Converted from Victorian stables and retaining many of the original features. Be pampered by one of the experienced therapists and enjoy lunch in the clock tower café wine bar.

If golf is your sport then Anglesey has plenty to offer. Just a couple of miles down the road is Treaddur Bay Golf Club, one of 8 golf courses on Anglesey.

Trearddur Bay has a wonderful new eating place called the Seacroft. The place has such a seaside feeling with wonderful decor and a huge decking sun area to enjoy a drink or meal al fresco! Families are welcome.

There is the Trearddur Bay Hotel which hosts the Oyster Festival among other interesting events throoughout the year.

They are building a cinema complex within a mile of the chapel and a bowling alley.

How To Get There
Head for North Wales, then Anglesey. Go over the Brittania Bridge and onto the A55. Stay on this dual carriageway until the very end when you will reach Holyhead. You will come to a roundabout with McDomalds on your left. Turn left towards McDonalds and then immediate right onto Porth Dafach Road. Follow this road to the T Junction. Porth Dafach beach will be right in front of you. Turn right at the T Junction and the chapel is approx. 1 mile up the road on the right - a very sharp right hand turn - take care!
